Sorenson Center for the Arts

Sorenson Center for the Arts

The Richard W. Sorenson Center for the Arts, a performing and visual arts program serving multiple constituencies, expands and enhances the presence of the arts and culture on Babson’s campus while serving as a paradigm of creative thinking and entrepreneurial practice for academic programs across the business/liberal arts spectrum. The Center presents a diverse array of programming in theater, dance, music, film, video, literary art, and visual arts for on-campus audiences and the general public. Visiting artists are regarded as resources in improving the quality of life and intellectual/creative activity within the Babson community and in the surrounding locales. The Center also supports the creative and performing experience of the College’s students and arts ensembles, and offers field-based learning opportunities for students working within both the business and liberal arts curricula. The performing arts center features a state-of-the-art 441 seat proscenium theater, a dance/rehearsal studio, band and music practice rooms. The visual arts center features a ceramics/sculpture studio, a B&W photo lab, a drawing/painting studio, artist-in-residence studio, and student gallery.
