Concerts at the Point was organized by a group of local music lovers in 1977. It was incorporated as a 501 c3 organization, with the purpose to: (i) enhance the cultural environment for residents of southeastern New England by presenting chamber music concerts performed by distinguished musicians and exceptional emerging young artists; and (ii) enrich the educational environment of the area by presenting experienced classical musicians and educators in the local schools.
