Roxbury Heritage State Park is home to the c.1750 Dillaway-Thomas House, one of the oldest structures in Roxbury. The building served as headquarters for one wing of the Continental Army, during the 1775-76 Siege of Boston. The house is now a museum, which features an interactive exhibit about Roxbury’s history, a gallery space for changing exhibitions by local artists, and a range of free programs celebrating the history and culture of Roxbury. The park offers event space and a beautiful view of the Boston skyline. Both the park and house are wheelchair accessible.
