North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) is the North End of Boston’s key resource for arts programming. A group of North End mothers founded NEMPAC in 2001 in an effort to create quality musical programming that would be affordable for their children. NEMPAC has grown to serve over 700 students a week through our in-school partnerships, classes in neighborhood venues, private music instruction, and summer programs.

From guitar, violin, and piano instruction to singing, dancing, and musical theater, NEMPAC provides a broad array of offerings spanning all ages. Through NEMPAC’s Opera Project, we reach out to young artists looking for opportunities to perfecting their craft.

We believe a diversified educational curriculum plays an important role in the rhythm of a community. NEMPAC strives to strengthen a broader commitment to the value of arts education, preserving affordability, and finding solutions for expanding programs and partnerships throughout the greater Boston community.
