Hammond Castle Museum was constructed between 1926 and 1929 by inventor John Hays Hammond Jr in the style of a medieval castle. It served as his private residence, laboratory, housed his collection of ancient artifacts. Visitors may explore its many rooms as well as enjoy the beauty of the grounds and view of the Atlantic coast.  The Museum offers guided and self-guided tours, as well as numerous educational and cultural programs throughout the year including: concerts, movies, and candlelight & spiritualism tours.  It is also available as a wedding and private events venue.

Hammond Castle Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. At nearly a century old, it is not handicapped accessible due to the number of stairs.
