Born in 1974 in Washington, D.C. and raised in the Maryland suburbs, Frank Pesci is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and the University of Southern Mississippi, where he studied composition with Luigi Zaninelli.

He has composed more than thirty sacred choral motets which have been performed throughout the United States and in Canada. His sacred catalogue also includes settings of hymn tunes from the Southern Harmony and Musical Companion for voice and piano, works for young singers, service music and a choral Mass. He has maintained an active career as a church musician, singing with Leo Nestor and Marilyn Keiser, and is currently the tenor section leader and Director of the Junior Choir at Grace Episcopal Church in Newton, Massachusetts.

Art song sets include You say you love (2009) for baritone and cello and Missed Connections (2008), the texts for which were adapted from the "Missed Connections" section of boston.craigslist.org. In June 2009, his String Quartet in A minor was premiered at the Church of St. John the Evangelist in Boston.
