Acropolis Stage Company’s name echoes Boston Athenæum co-founder William Tudor, who in 1819 christened Boston “The Athens of America” for Boston’s unique appreciation and cultivation of intellectual, artistic, and cultural excellence. Acropolis Stage Company promises to uphold and continue that tradition, not only by promoting the diverse array of Boston voices within the theatre, but celebrating Boston artists of all kinds.
