Our Mission: to combine the experience and ability of our members to develop contemporary and theatrical hip-hop choreography that entertains and inspires audiences. Through the vitality and professionalism of our company we strive to form strong bonds with the community and its residents. Static Noyze Dance Company, based in Boston, MA, was founded to create innovative and stimulating theatrical performances for all audiences. The five co-founders William Hsu, Henry Myint, Yuhei Ogawa, Chung Peng, and Brett Wong, met while dancing with Spirit of Color, a performing arts troupe at Tufts University. Each dancer then went on to join various professional Boston dance companies, such as Phunk Phenomenon, Rainbow Tribe The Dance Company, and Element Dance Company, before coming together in April of 2006 to create Static Noyze. Since its inception, Static Noyze Dance Company’s credits have included performances at The Carnival – Choreographers Ball, Rainbow Tribe The Dance Company’s Tribe Vibe III, as well as many other performances around the New England area. The company is also actively instructing classes and workshops throughout the greater Boston area, collaborating with institutions such as Boston University, Dance Across the City, Origination Dance Company, and many more. Static Noyze prides itself in its dedication to the community. The company contributes through collaborative workshops, showcases, as well as other events, and is always looking to form partnerships with organizations that share its dedication to the community and passion for dance.
