Boston Secession is a 25-member professional choral ensemble with a repertoire ranging from medieval chant to contemporary classical music. The group has earned a reputation for its exceptional sound, and was recently cited as "a polished, finely blended chamber choir" by The New York Times. Boston Secession’s name alludes to the Vienna Secession, a movement led by painter Gustav Klimt to help viewers make a personal, intimate connection with art by displaying paintings at eye level.
