A community is torn apart by racial and economic pressures in Berks County, Pennsylvania
Filled with warm humor and tremendous heart, Lynn Nottage's Pulitzer Prize-winning SWEAT tells the story of a group of friends who have spent their lives sharing drinks, secrets, and laughs while working together on the factory floor. But when layoffs and picket lines begin to chip away at their trust, the friends find themselves pitted against each other in a heart-wrenching fight to stay afloat.
The Footlight Club presents Sweat, opening Saturday, February 10, and running Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, with Sunday matinees at 2pm through February 24. This heart-wrenching drama chronicles the experiences of an industrial city curing the great recession of the early 21st century, and how friends and families are affected by the world around them.
Tickets are $25; $22 for Seniors (60+), Students, and Children under 18.
