Fountain Street Gallery will exhibit “Limitless Translations: The Artist as Storyteller,” exploring the context surrounding art, featuring the work of Fountain Street Core Members.
Beginning November 30, 2023, Fountain Street Gallery will embark on an exploration of the context surrounding art, revealing the profound impact it has on the artistic process and the narratives it unveils. From the brushstrokes on a canvas to the layers of mixed media to the dimensionality of a sculpture, this exhibition aims to unravel the intricate web of influences and inspirations that have shaped the Core Members of Fountain Street as visual narrators.
As artists...
...we are unconventional thinkers,
...we are visual storytellers,
...we are cultural archivists,
...we are mark makers.
Art has always been a mirror of society, reflecting the values, beliefs, and aspirations of its creators. It serves as a profound means of communication, capable of transcending barriers and uniting diverse voices. Given the space we exist in today — the pandemic receding behind us, election year looming ahead, and many shifts occurring at all levels of society — it seems imperative to examine the act of artmaking and its given context.
