In celebration of our 10th anniversary season, Nozama Dance Collective presents RECLAIM, an evening-length concert of live contemporary dance. The performance will include multiple world premieres, your favorite Nozama repertory works including a historical restaging of a work by our founding director, and guest artists from the greater Boston dance community. With a focus on storytelling, and the celebration and reclamation of our histories, dances across the evening tackle grief, coming of age, body image, untold histories, and more. This performance of powerful dance and poetic inquiry takes on moving socio-political themes while also presenting visionary and rigorous dance work. The evening culminates in a new signature work by Nozama’s artistic director Dana Alsamsam that explores mistold, silenced or forgotten women’s history.
