Our program, entitled Peace Within, Peace Without, explores the idea of Peace both as it relates to conflicts between nations and as it relates finding peace within ourselves as individuals. Through works like Chilcott’s “Peace Mass” and Patriquin’s timely arrangement of “On the Mountain,” a traditional Ukrainian folk song, in addition to works by Ola Gjeilo, Joan Szymko and others, the music moves from internal reflection and calm to outward calls for harmony and unity between peoples. As the cries for peace in our world crescendo, we invite you to take refuge from the distressing news around us and take this restorative journey with us.
