With a successful opener to our musical season completed, Cappella Clausura is excited to get ready for our next concert featuring pianist Lois Shapiro! Das Jahr (The Year) by Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, is a romantic solo piano piece that captures the essence of each month in the calendar year. We\'ve broken it up with vocal quartets by Mendelssohn Hensel and Clara Schumann. This performance by Cappella Clausura is a testament to the brilliant works that came from women in the Romantic Era and an amazing composition in the larger form by Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel. Join us on November 18th at 8pm at the First Unitarian Society in Newton and November 19th at 3pm at Emmanuel Church of Boston.
