Light Up the Center

Light Up the Center

Presented by GrubStreet at GrubStreet Center for Creative Writing

Continuing GrubStreet's commitment to facilitating dialogue to encourage equity and justice, they're hosting a very special Light Up the Center: for the first time at GrubStreet, they're inviting artists from other groups and disciplines to light up the center together.

A first ever event of its kind on GrubStreet's Calderwood Writers' Stage, you can join them to enjoy performances by:

City of Boston's Poet Laureate & GrubStreet instructor Porsha Olayiwola
Cuatro virtuosa & composer Fabiola Mendez
Boston Ballet's principal dancer, Chyrstyn Mariah Fentoy
Author Shilpi Suneja
GrubStreet Teen Fellow Zaila Alves
Write Down the Street neighborhood program alum Fiona Maurissette

Followed by:

An audience and performer conversation
A lively reception with food and drink

Please note: First-floor stage tickets for the programming portion are sold out! Due to popular demand, we're now offering hybrid tickets for the second floor. These tickets give you access to the full party experience throughout the space and you can enjoy the live stream of the stage programming in GrubStreet's comfortable classrooms alongside other guests.
