Boston-based large jazz ensemble continues its popular summer concert series in community setting.
Boston's acclaimed big band, The Makanda Project, continues its annual series of summer concerts under the shade trees on the lawn of First Church in Roxbury. The group's usual lineup will be augmented by South African vocalist Naledi Masilo, and South African jazz compositions will be included in the repertoire along with compositions by Makanda Ken McIntyre. There will also be poetry reading at intermission.
