The evening will begin with our Strawberry and Ice Cream Festival held in the Gardens beside the Town Hall from 6:00 – 7:30 PM (outside if weather permits, indoors if rain) with entertainment by Davey the Clown, Liberty Bones Brass Ensemble, and special art activities for the kids with artist Stacie Greenland.

The Pops Concert begins at 7:30 and this year’s theme is “The Great American Songbook”.  The Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Orlando Cela, will feature music by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, a musical salute to Frank Sinatra, and a special guest appearance by jazz singer David Alexis. The Arlington-Belmont Chorale, conducted by Barry Singer and Sarah Seeber, will perform Duke Ellington’s Take the A Train and Mood Indigo, Cole Porter’s Anything Goes and Begin the Beguine, and other American songbook favorites.  As a special feature, Arlington High School Madrigal singers will join the orchestra and chorale for Harold Arlen’s Over the Rainbow.

Wheelchair accessible.  Masking optional. Beverages will be available for sale during the concert; there is also a water filling station in the Town Hall lobby and we encourage attendees to bring refillable water bottles.
