One of Shakespeare’s most enduring comedies. Told through a genderqueer and gender-expansive lens, this production will examine what it means to find oneself while also discovering one’s partner and passion. Love is love.
Rosalind and Celia escape into the forest hoping to find the usurped Duke Senior, Rosalind’s father. Along the way they discover Orlando, Rosalind’s true love. Rosalind, disguised as the boy shepherd Ganymede, teaches Orlando how to woo “him” under the guise of curing Orlando of his love for Rosalind. In this process, Rosalind and Orlando truly find each other.
Please be aware that this production is intended for mature audiences and has depictions and language of: gender identity, and misogyny and physical violence. Appropriate for ages 10 and over.
