Bio:
Born and raised in Boston's Roxbury and South End, he began his musical journey studying percussion under Andrew Cyrille in the Black Music Division of Antioch College in 1971 directed by the legendary pianist/composer Cecil Taylor.

In 1974, he moved to Bennington, VT, to study with Professor Milford Graves at Bennington College. Later, in 1981, he matriculated to Bennington College, where he continued my studies with Black music theorists such as the trumpeter Bill Dixon and the polyrhythmic innovator Milford Graves.

Over the years, he led several bands, including Catalyst in 1977 in Vermont, Lotus in 1979 in Tucson, Arizona, Delta '82 in 1982 in Vermont, Brian King Nelson-Dennis Warren Ensemble in 1986 in Boston, and Underground Voice Band in 1987 in Boston.

In 1989, he founded the Full Metal Revolutionary Jazz Ensemble, which is now known as Full Metal Revolutionary Jazz Eclectic. The essence of the music is based on drum improvisation power, and he had the privilege of experiencing the tail end of the Free Jazz psychedelic epoch.

FMRJE was selected by Black Entertainment Television's Jazz Central as Jazz Discovery artist in 1997. Opened the NEXT WAVE SERIES of the Toronto Jazz Festival 1995 and closed the Toronto Jazz Festival's NEXT WAVE SERIES in 1996. In 1998 FMRJE has opened for the Jon Fishman Band at Club Toast in Burlington, Vermont. FMRJE has also performed at the Knitting Factory's Main Space, Alterknit Theater, NYC; Sarah Lawrence College and at the Texaco New York City Jazz Festival 98'.

In the mid-1990s, with my marriage and family, live performances of FMRJE became annual events. However, the lack of live performances was replaced by live Internet broadcasts from the FMRJE Studio and music videos produced on the FMRJE channel, which can be found on YouTube.com/fmrje
