Dance Prism’s rollicking production, A Tea Party with Alice in Wonderland, returns to area theaters this spring!
Dance Prism’s original production of the ballet follows Lewis Carroll’s classic tale of a little girl’s pursuit of a White Rabbit into an unpredictable land where fantasy and absurdity preview. The ballet traces Alice’s encounters with such legendary figures as the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and the zany Queen of Hearts with her entourage of Cards. In an epic chess game, Carroll’s furiously whirling Red Queen reigns over the thirty-one chess pieces; and in Wonderland’s flower garden tiger lilies, daffodils, and bread and butter butterflies dance a soaring waltz.
