Description: In this two session class, you will discuss and create a series of river-table-style coasters and one small river table, to demonstrate how different epoxies work. One week later, you will meet up to sand, plane, route out, and oil our project after it has cured. Students will be able to take home their own handmade coasters.
Note:
-This class takes place May 4th and May 11th. Both class sessions are three hours long.
-Additional fees will apply to students for wood selection. The epoxy kit price is included in the class tuition.
About the instructor: Palo Coleman grew up unfettered in Northern California where he spent a lot of time in the woods taught himself building skills and developed an interest in small-scale living. Now living with his wife and family in Cambridge, he continues to experiment in myriad woodworking techniques and is a tiny-house builder. Recent projects include a living playground in Waitsfield, Vermont’s elementary school; making a vertical garden system; constructing medieval games for the Fuller Craft Museum; and developing a portable studio with Japanese-wood siding.
