Join HAM for a panel discussion and screening titled “Indigenous Languages at the Crossroads in Latin America: Screening and Conversation on the Survival of Indigenous Languages,” co-sponsored by the Mahindra Humanities Center and the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies and presented at the Harvard Art Museums.
Framed within UNESCO’s International Decade of Indigenous Languages, the panel discussion will focus on the role of academia, media, civil society, and government initiatives in preserving, revitalizing, and supporting Indigenous languages in Latin America. A screening of the film Sueño en otro idioma (I Dream in Another Language), directed by Ernesto Contreras, will follow.
Free admission, but seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The discussion and screening will take place in Menschel Hall, Lower Level. Doors will open at 5:30pm at the 480 Broadway entrance.
