Happyland! Now!! Is a new episodic musical puppet adventure that follows the adventures of Captain Fernando and their faithful but apprehensive sidekick, Marmalade the boat-tiger, as they search for the mythical land of Happyland. In this episode, Fernando and Marmalade arrive with glee on “Stay-Awake Island,” hoping they have finally found Happyland once and for all. But a sleeping giant, a meddling cowboy, and a pair of revolutionary goblins with bad French-accents complicate the quest, resulting in unexpected discoveries, catchy music, and puppet dance numbers!

All ages welcome, recommended for ages 4+

About the Artist

Boxcutter Collective is a prolific Brooklyn-based political puppet theater founded in 2016. They believe cultural change precedes political change, and they are committed (and compelled!) to create new accessible art for collective transformation. They are very excited to be bringing their first ever family show to Puppet Showplace Theater, in collaboration with the Jalopy Theater and School of Music.
