Featuring two festive works from both the French and Italian baroque, DCS music director Jonathan Barnhart's arrangement of Suite de Noels is based on the Messe de Minuit pour Noel by Marc-Antoine Charpentier. This new Suite restores the original French texts with choral sections alternating with organ solo versions by Pierre Dandrieu, Louis-Claude Daquin, and Claude Balbastre. The program concludes with the Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi. Appealing to both performers and audience, it is one of the most celebratory works for the Christmas season.  As is DCS tradition, there are sing-along carols with the chorus, orchestra, and organ. Guest performers are soloists Carley DeFranco and Elizabeth Eschen, and Andrew Jonathan Welch at the organ.
