Join Bamuthi and local activist artists Dzidzor and Anita Morson-Matra for a conversation on arts and social justice moderated by André de Quadros.
In collaboration with African American & Black Diaspora StudiesProgram, the BU Arts Initiative is excited to welcome Marc Bamuthi Joseph to Boston University. Bamuthi is the Vice President and Artistic Director of Social Impact at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in D.C., a 2017 TED Global Fellow, an inaugural recipient of the Guggenheim Social Practice initiative, and an honoree of the United States Artists Rockefeller Fellowship.
He will be joined by Dzidzor, a performing artist, author, and entrepreneur, and Anita Morson-Mantra, a creative entrepreneur and founder of Baldwin in the Park and Nubian Nights, to discuss the intersection of arts and social justice in a panel moderated by BU School of Music Professor Dr. André de Quadros.
