This is an all day, intensive workshop on learning how to turn.
We will cover the basics of woodturning on a lathe and then branch off into more esoteric types of turning. You will learn how to make pens and possibly get as far as making a bowl. You will use a wide range of tools from carbide to steel. We will address classic forms of turning as well as more modern forms. This curriculum is compressed into a one-day intensive class so that each student will learn foundational skills in a short amount of time, with the goal that each participant will leave with a firm skill base.
