Plein Air Painting at Winfield Robbins Memorial Garden

Presented by Arts Arlington at Arlington Town Hall

Town Day is Arlington's annual community celebration in the heart of the town's Cultural District. Cancelled for 2020 and 2021, it returns September 17, 9:30am - 3pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of this family-friendly tradition featuring entertainment, games, booths, live music, food -- one of Arlington's most unique and beloved celebrations!

Among some 200 vendors at Town Day, the Arlington Commission for Arts & Culture (ArtsArlington.org) welcomes the public to meet members of its commission and creative community during Town Day celebrations. ACAC representatives will be available on Town Day front of Town Hall to share information about grants, volunteering, free cultural resources, performance and exhibition opportunities, upcoming public art initiatives, the new Cultural District audio tour and more!

Visit with Painters and Vote on the Art: Fun, relaxed plein air painting event featuring professional and student artists working outdoors in beautiful Winfield Robbins Memorial Garden. This lovely site in between Arlington's stately Town Hall and Robbins Memorial Library, was designed by R. Clipston Sturgis and redesigned by the Olmstead Brothers; and is also home to the Cyrus Dallin sculpture of the Menotomy Indian Hunter. Learn about the painters' process, enjoy other garden activities and entertainment, then view the finished paintings to be exhibited at the end -- and vote for your favorite!
