Violinist Max Tan & Pianist Marisa Gupta

Praised as "eloquent" by The New York Times and "warmly rhapsodic" by The Boston Globe, violinist Max Tan, will appear jointly with pianist Marisa Gupta at the Summer FREE Concerts @ NEC 夏日系列音樂會on Friday, Aug 26, 7:30 pm at NEC's Williams Hall.

A semifinalist at the 2019 Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition, Max Tan graduated from Harvard majoring in Human Development. He also received Master and Artist Diploma degrees from the Juilliard School. He will be an assistant faculty at the Juilliard Pre-College while pursuing his doctorate degree at Juilliard.

Acclaimed pianist and a visiting faculty at the Butler School of Music, UT Austin, Marisa Gupta received top prizes at the Concours Maria Canals (Barcelona), the Viotti (Vercelli, Italy), the Corpus Christi and Kingsville International Music Competitions, among other honors.
