Prize winning pianist Zhiyi Lin plays a program of Mozart, Schumann, Ravel, Godowsky, II, Die Fledermaus.
Pianist Zhiye Lin 林之燁, First Prize winner of 2019 Foundation Chinese Performing Arts Concerto Competition (re-named and becoming the Fou Ts'ong 傅聰 International Concerto Competition), will perform at the Summer FREE Concerts @ NEC 夏日系列音樂會on Wednesday, Aug 24, 7:30 pm at NEC's Williams Hall, as a part of the prize of winning the competition in 2019.
The Boston Musical Intelligence praised Zhiye Lin as a pianist who “breezed through the most technically difficult bits with impressive panache.” Currently Zhiye is completing his Artist Diploma at the Peabody Institute under Richard Goode's guidance. His program includes:
Mozart: Piano Sonata no. 8 in A minor, KV 310
Schumann: Humoreske op. 20
Ravel: Gaspard de la nuit, M. 55
Godowsky: Symphonische Metamorphosen Johann Strauss’scher Themen
