Acclaimed cellist Nan-Cheng Chen joined by pianists Yinfei Wang and Chi Wei Lo play Bach, Piazzolla, Brahms, Schumann, and more.
Cellist Nan-Cheng Chen's 陳南呈performance was described as “personable and smile-inducing, fine playing” by Washington Post and praised for his “Beautiful Tone” by New York Concert Reviews. The Worcester Telegram and Gazette called it “the kind of performance one might hear live only once a decade.”
Nan-Cheng is the co-founder and the executive director of the New Asia Chamber Music Society. He is the principal cellist of the Solisti Ensemble and was a member of award-winning trios Sonic Escape and Neptune Trio.
Joining by pianists Dr. Yinfei Wang 王寅飛 and Chi Wei Lo 駱奇偉, Nan-Cheng Chen will appear at the Summer FREE Concerts @ NEC 夏日系列音樂會on Tuesday, Aug 23, 7:30 pm at NEC's Williams Hall, performing the following program:
Bach: Cello Suite No. 3 in C Major, BWV 1009
Piazzolla: Le Grand Tango
Brahms: Cello Sonata No. 2 in F Major, Op. 99
Schumann: Fantasiestucke, Op.73
Elizondo: Danzas Latinoamericanas
