Photographer and filmmaker, Valarie asks “What does it mean to question; self worth, conceptions of realties based on outward appearances, and self acceptance ?”
Please join us and current exhibiting artist, Valerie Anselme, for a special Juneteenth presentation on at the Hyde Park Branch of the Boston Public Library from 6 to 8 pm. View Valerie’s photographs while enjoying entertainment by Dripp, and a special guest poet. In addition to the live entertainment there will be a premier screening of a short film by Ms. Anselme As I Am, at 6:45pm . There will be a question and answer session after the film.
This exhibit and film seeks to explore and celebrate the beauty of melanated, sun-kissed, dark-skinned people and the complexities and richness of their lives.
