Dave Bryant's "Third Thursdays" harmolodic jazz series continues in the Harvard Sq. neighborhood.

Presented by Dave Bryant Music at Harvard-Epworth United Methodist Church

Keyboardist and composer Dave Bryant, continues his monthly harmolodic jazz series, "Third Thursdays", within which Bryant invites several of his many near and far musical friends, on a once a month basis, to join him in exploring musical terrain that is both exuberant and constantly changing. Early in his musical career, Bryant was a protégé of harmolodic jazz genius Ornette Coleman, having studied with him, then invited by Coleman to be the first electric keyboardist to perform in his Prime Time group.

Bryant is eager to keep exploring this particular musical sensibility with musicians and audiences who are ready to share the harmolodic spirit of musical camaraderie. For June's "Third Thursdays" gathering, Bryant has invited the following players to join him: Tsuyoshi Honjo (sax), Gabriel Solomon (violin), John Turner (bass), and Curt Newton (drums).

For upcoming "Third Thursdays" summer sessions, Bryant has made plans for the following players to join him:
-- July 21st, NYC-based guitarist Kenny Wessel, also a former member of Coleman's Prime Time, with drummer Luther Gray, and more participants TBD;
-- August 18th, saxophonist Neil Leonard, exploring electronica, with more participants TBD.
The Fall "Third Thursdays" lineup will be available by mid-summer.

The premise for "Third Thursdays", which began this past April, along with details on past concerts, can be found specifically at dbryantmusic.com/third-thursdays/. All "Third Thursdays" sessions will be held on a regular monthly basis within the Harvard-Epworth Methodist Church, located a short walking distance from Harvard Square. Audience seating capacity will abide by whatever health and safety protocols are in place on any given month.
