Lighting the Spark is a night for members of the Literations community to come together and celebrate student success, as well as hear inspiring stories from champions in the field.

At Lighting the Spark, we gather to enjoy unique appetizers and an open bar, as well as speakers and performers. When you join us in Lighting the Spark, you're joining a community dedicated to changing the lives of young readers with the gift of literacy, and making a night of memories to last for years to come. This year's goal is to raise $160,000!
Kristin McSwain leads Boston’s newly formed Office of Early Childhood as Director and as a Senior Advisor to the Mayor.
Jay Kim is the Executive Director at the Foundation for MetroWest, a community organization dedicated to improving lives in the MetroWest area.
Gigi Green has been a site team leader and a volunteer literacy coach with Literations for over 7 years.

In observance of current trends and local COVID-19 numbers, we will now be requiring full vaccination for all Lighting the Spark guests, staff, and volunteers. As defined by the CDC, a person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving a second dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine or two weeks after receiving a single dose of the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. Cards will be checked for guests upon arrival.
