An Intriguing Conversation with Karen Brooks Hopkins

An Intriguing Conversation with Karen Brooks Hopkins

Presented by Suffolk University Theatre Department and Ford Hall Forum at Suffolk University at The Modern Theatre at Suffolk University

Punctuate 4, Ford Hall Forum at Suffolk University, and the Suffolk University Theatre Department present An Intriguing Conversation with Karen Brooks Hopkins, President Emerita, Brooklyn Academic of Music.

For three decades, through her leadership at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Karen was at the forefront of bringing a diverse creative and non-profit arts community together to turn Brooklyn into a cultural mecca and one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world. Karen will share her story of successful community investment sprinkled with the ups and downs of enlisting the help of an incredible range of celebrities from Princess Diana and Pina Bausch to LL Cool J and David Byrne. The arts community is a critical driver for the post-pandemic economy and Hopkins emphasis on diverse partnerships could be a blueprint for Boston and beyond.
