On Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 3:00 PM, the Philharmonic Society of Arlington (PSA) will present its SPONSORS' CONCERT with the Arlington-Belmont Chorale, the Arlington-Belmont Chamber Chorus, and Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra. Conducting these groups will be Music Directors Orlando Cela and Barry Singer.
The program will include Symphonic Poem No. 2 by Galina Ustvolskaya; Nights in the Gardens of Spain by Manuel de Falla, featuring pianist Carmen Rodríguez-Peralta; The Road Not Taken by Randall Thompson; Love Unchangèd (World Premiere) by Tamsin Jones; Hold Me, Rock Me by Brian Tate; and the Coronation Mass, No. 15 in C, K. 317 by W.A. Mozart, with soloists: Aurora Martin, soprano; Julianna Smith, mezzo-soprano; Joshua Glassman, tenor; and Marcus Schenk, bass.
A special tribute to Ukraine will be offered with the performance of Gebet fur die Ukraine/Prayer for the Ukraine by Valentin Silvestrov.
Performers and audience members of all ages must show proof of vaccination against Covid-19 at the door in order to attend this concert. Masks must be worn indoors at all times by everyone.
Tickets are purchased at the door. General admission is $20; Seniors/Students $15; and Children 17 years and under $5.
