Public Art: The Mystery, the Magic, and the Making featuring GN Crew Boston and Street Theory

The 2022 Tyrone Maurice Adderley Lecture Series presents Public Art: The Mystery, the Magic, and the Making featuring GN Crew Boston and Street Theory. Moderated by CACP Associate Director Ekua Holmes ‘77, Gennaro ‘GO Five’ Ortega ‘09, Rob ‘Problak’ Gibbs, Lee ‘Soems’ Beard, and Luis ‘Take 1’ Taforo of GN Crew Boston and Liza Quiñonez of Street Theory will provide a glimpse into their process of generating ideas from concept to execution during a Black Book session. Topics will include mural/graffiti/street art, the social impact of public art, the creative process, and communities of trust. This year's guests are the inaugural Adderley Artists in Residence, a new program which enhances the lecture experience by providing opportunities of being in community, learning from artists, and engaging with expansive ideas of art and the creative process. The Adderley Lecture Series commemorates the passing of talented and popular painting student Tyrone Maurice Adderley in 1995.
