Description:

According to famous photographer Ansel Adams, “the single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it.” Your eye/brain! Join photo educator Ellen Foust for an iPhone photo walk in Lexington Center. We will start out at LexArt with a lesson on how to use your eyes and brain to “see” like a photographer, and how to compose a photo. Then, we will venture out on foot to take a deep look at the neighborhood and create interesting images with our iPhones. This workshop is for you if you want to have fun, improve your iPhone photography skills, and enjoy a spring afternoon all in one!

Prerequisites: Students for this class should bring an iPhone.

About the instructor: 

Ellen Foust is an award-winning visual artist and photographer with a passion for teaching. Her experience spans darkroom to digital, portraiture to landscapes. She holds an MA in art history, an MEd in education, and has studied at the New England School of Photography. Ellen's bold, graphical, award-winning photographs explore the interactions of light and weather on a scene or object. Ellen currently teaches iPhone photography at the Osher Institute for Life Long Learning, at Brandeis University and UMass Boston.
