Bridging Creativity: Art Lab from Home to Here (Weekend Hours)

Presented by Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston at The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston

Make art with us on Saturday afternoons at the ICA in the Bank of America Art Lab.

Join us to celebrate the re-opening of the Bank of America Art Lab for the latest installation Bridging Creativity: Art Lab from Home to Here. Through looking and art-making, engage with the work of four Boston-based artists who are connected in their ability to spread joy through creativity. Activities are drop-in and first-come, first-serve. Capacity is limited with social distancing protocols in place.

More about the Installation

In March 2020, the Bank of America Art Lab was forced to close its doors as the museum and city went into lockdown. Nonetheless, Bostonians continued to create. To support artmaking and creative expression during this time, the ICA launched its Art Lab at Home website and collaborated with artists to create more than 70 digital activities and distribute 6,900 art kits to families throughout Boston.

This installation presents four of the Boston-based artists who developed activities for the Art Lab at Home website and art kits. These artists work in a range of styles and mediums, and are connected in their abilities to spread joy through creativity. We are so excited to reopen our doors, to make art together again, and to continue to expand the ways that we can create art with all of you, in person or from afar.

Check out more artist-designed activities at icaboston.org/art-lab.
