“DIDO REIMAGINED”Co-commissioned by Rockport Music, this program starts with early English works by Purcell, Dowland and Locke, and flows toward the famous Lament from Purcell’s opera Dido and Aeneas. Composed by Melinda Wagner and with a libretto by Stephanie Fleischmann, this unique monodrama will probe a truly compelling character through the concentrated closeness of the chamber music experience.
