The Boston Handbell Festival, a celebration of handbell musicianship, is back after a 2 year hiatus.

The 14th Boston Handbell Festival brings together 5 local handbell ensembles – Back Bay Ringers, Hancock Carillon, Merrimack Valley Ringers, New England Ringers, and Old South Ringers– for an evening of massed and solo ringing in Old South Church’s beautiful sanctuary.

The concert is free and open to the public. Audience members will be treated to a wide variety of performances, including familiar classical and contemporary tunes, spirited original compositions, and a memorable massed piece involving all five choirs and cello.  It can also be streamed online at www.facebook/oldsouthchurch

During the concert, a 3-octave set of hand chimes will be donated to a school music program in the greater Boston area.
