Explore a variety of percussion instruments with a dose of fun! We'll shake, scrape, and bang while building rhythmic skills. Students will learn about percussion by exploring a variety of instruments, even making use of their teacher's extensive toy percussion collection. Children ages 4-8 will experiment with shakers, tambourine, wood blocks, cow bells, and an unusual instrument called a sniggle stick! This class explores the history of percussion, and builds from bass drum, snare, high hat, and tom drum to a big reveal of the full drum set. On the last day of class, parents are invited to enjoy drum solos.
