Join Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and Coolidge Corner Theatre for the next event in our “Shakespeare Reimagined” series, Ernest Lubitsch’s 1942 film, To Be or Not To Be. Produced during the height of Germany’s power in World War II, the film is a bold, comic high-wire act that manages to balance political satire, romance, slapstick, and suspense. Following the screening there will be a discussion and Q&A moderated by Cheryl Eagan-Donovan, an award-winning writer, director, and producer, with Brandeis film historian Thomas Doherty and civil liberties advocate Harvey Silverglate.

To Be or Not To Be takes place on Thursday, March 10 at 7:00 at the Coolidge Corner Theatre, 290 Harvard Street in Brookline. For more information, including accessibility and COVID protocols, or to purchase tickets, click below.
