Winsor Music concert featuring violist Kim Kashkashian in a program of György Kurtág and Robert and Clara Schumann.
Winsor Music’s third concert of the 2021-22 season, entitled “The Schumanns and Kurtág,” features internationally acclaimed violist Kim Kashkashian in a program of music that is dear to her heart. She has made Grammy-winning recordings of some of this music, and György Kurtág pays musical tribute to Robert Schumann in one of the works on this program. These composers’ works bear unexpected similarities in their impeccable form, introspection, and exquisite expressivity. The concert will also feature Peggy Pearson playing the gorgeous Romances by Clara Schumann. The concert will take place on Thursday, April 14 at 8:00 pm at First Church Boston.
