The Neave Trio, Faculty Ensemble-in-Residence at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, presents music by Farrenc and Smyth on February 26, 2022.
The Neave Trio, Alumni Artists, Faculty Ensemble-in-Residence at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, presents A Room of Her Own on Saturday February 26, 2022 at Edward M. Pickman Concert Hall. The program centers around how women's voices have been historically underrepresented, walled off from the predominantly male narrative. The Neave Trio gives a voice to women's ongoing - and often silent - struggle for equality, from the suffrage movement to the present day. The evening's program will feature Louise Farrenc's Piano Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 33 and Ethel Smyth's Piano Trio in D Minor.
