Mixed media can be a vast and sometimes overwhelming endeavor when diving in for the first time. In this workshop series I’ll guide you through useful information for those who are new to creative endeavors, new to collage, or those who want to learn some new techniques and perspectives. We will work through different methods and applications of collage and mixed media, incorporating paper weaving, embroidery, paint and others with a focus on composition and choosing “what stays and what goes” when the options are limitless. Most of the time will be spent experimenting and gathering skills, inspiration, and techniques to carry forth into your own paper art and collage practice but workshoppers should also end the class with a few finished pieces.

Wednesdays, April 6 – May 4 (5 sessions – 6:00-8:00pm)
The class will meet for 5 consecutive Wednesdays via Zoom, beginning April 6, 2022.
