Now + There Asks: What's shaping your creativity?

Now + There Asks: What's shaping your creativity?

Presented by Now + There at Online/Virtual Space

What started as a quilt-inspired collaged painting featuring snapshots of Black joy and aliveness on a snowy Boston day is now a 60-foot printed mural, on view until March 2022. Artists Johnetta Tinker and Susan Thompson dreamed up “Deeply Rooted in the NeighborHOOD” to share uplifting depictions of neighborhood life while also paying homage to their mentor, Boston-based artist Allan Rohan Crite.

Join us over your lunch hour on Thursday, January 27, 12-1:30 PM via Zoom to reinvigorate your own creativity and get a behind-the-scenes look at a unique collaboration. We’ll have an open conversation about inspiration, the artistic process and mentorship.

Art, memory, hope, and legacy continue to inspire these two art legends. What is inspiring YOU? What connects you to your neighborHOOD?
