Legendary jazz saxophonist, flutist and composer Greg Abate tours the globe 225
days a year as an international recording artist. His 2004 recording “Evolution”,
just one of his 18 albums, was nominated for Grammy awards in four categories.
Greg has dazzled audiences around the world for nearly 50 years through his
energetic performances. The Berklee College of Music graduate - who was also
lead alto for the Ray Charles Orchestra - has built his career as one of the few
remaining post-hard bop soloists. We’re excited to have Greg back to the Spire
stage! Joining Greg at the Spire will be Ben Cook/Piano, Todd Baker/Bass; Gary
Johnson/Drums.
