Throughout history, Wolves have been the personification of wonder and power. They represent the untamed spirit and unconquered land. With that reputation, they have also been condemned as evil incarnate and, once murdered, a symbol of man’s brutal conquest of nature.
With this exhibition, we aim to explore and promote the majesty of these beautiful creatures whose alluring energy continues to inspire.
The Salem Art Gallery at The Satanic Temple Salem is seeking artworks to rejoice in the wolf and its spirit. As a commitment to the preservation of these important animals, TST pledges the proceeds of the works included in this exhibition towards our neighbors to the north, Wolf Hollow Conservation and Education Center.
This is an international call and all works will be considered. The exhibition will be juried by Zee Soffron, Director of Wolf Hollow.
Works must not contribute to a negative depiction of wolves, nor may they include wanton violence to or by wolves.
Important points:
- All art forms will be considered from traditional, digital, video, and performance.
- Artists may submit up to three works for consideration.
- Works must be exhibition ready, meaning ready to hang or display. Ready to hang paintings, framed works on paper, photographs, and sculptures are acceptable. Framed artwork is preferred; framing will not be provided by TST. All hung artworks must have either a wire hanger on the back or large D-rings.
- The artist receives 50% of the sale price. Please price accordingly.
- Accepted works must be shipped to The Salem Art Gallery at the artist’s expense. Artists must also include return shipping labels. Works not containing returning shipping credentials will become the property of The Salem Art Gallery at The Satanic Temple Salem.
Artist assumes all risk of artwork while in transport.

About Wolf Hollow:
Wolf Hollow is a 501(c)3 non-profit wolf sanctuary and educational facility founded in 1988. Their mission has maintained a focus on promoting the preservation of the wolf in the wild through education and exposure.
Visitors are welcome at Wolf Hollow, where they meet the resident wolves and learn the importance of the wolf in the wild as a top predator. By observing how a wolf pack functions, visitors learn how wolves are a benefit to the environment around them and ultimately to us as humans because of the many parallels to our own families. Wolves are still very much a threatened species and visitors will learn what can be done to help alleviate the threat.

The Salem Art Gallery promotes the works of emerging and established artists from around the world. Through artist talks, special events, and screenings, we combine exhibitions with interactive and engaging projects. Opened to the public in the former Dubiel Funeral Parlor in 2016, The Satanic Temple’s headquarters maintains an art gallery and a permanent exhibit dedicated to witch-hunts, Satanism, and moral panics. The Satanic Temple of Salem often hosts and performs formal ceremonial events, lectures, screenings, and meetings.
