We Love Winter!

We Love Winter!

Presented by The Umbrella Arts Center at The Umbrella Arts Center

Mixed media collage artist Therese Roeser invites creative young people ages 6-10 to join her for a 3-week series of workshops to learn about this chilly and festive season! Using natural materials, each session we will make a new craft while we discuss how snowflakes form, evergreen trees and the winter solstice. Get ready to cut a six-sided snowflake and turn it into a suncatcher, make your own pine tree forest, and bring light inside with a homemade candle and luminary.

Roeser is a social worker, mother of 2 and the artist behind the popular Instagram page @healingcrayons. She makes body-positive collages to both inspire self-compassion and dismantle perfectionism.

Workshops take place Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30PM, November 30, December 7, and December 14, 2021 at The Umbrella Arts Center. (Cost: $35, plus $10 materials fee). Registration is limited.

NOTE: Enrolled students will also be eligible for discounted tickets to The Umbrella Stage Company's all-ages epic musical adventure, The Old Man and The Old Moon, running through Dec. 5.
