Noises Off is a 1982 English farcical comedy. The show depicts the making of a "play-within-the-play" called "Nothing On". Noises Off is a three-act play where each act depicts the fictional show at a different point in its' production (Tech, a matinee performance, and one of the last shows performed). Plagued by missed lines, misplaced props, and personal feuds," Nothing On" goes up in smoke in a slightly different but equally spectacular way in each act of Noises Off. The trick of Noises Off is that the real-world audience (the folks in the seats in Beverly Mass hopefully) will see two separate shows where characters are feuding with each other as they walk off stage having been friends with the very person they're now feuding with. What makes this show so indescribably funny is the duality of it. It is something one needs to see to believe. It is a show about a show that goes wrong in a particularly slapstick way! We are stoked to announce the fall production of Noises Off!
